Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) encompasses Macquarie's institutional stockbroking, equity derivatives and equity finance activities. MSG utilises its skills in research and risk management to develop equity-based financial solutions and services for clients globally. Within Operations, the opportunity for a Corporate Actions specialist is now available and will suit an experienced, highly motivated individual with a proven understanding of Asian Equity Corporate Actions covering Derivative and Equity Finance products.
With responsibility for managing corporate action events including cash, non-cash and elective events for Asian markets, you will also manage tax obligations and counterparty claims for all events, deliver an accurate and timely service to customers to meet agreed service level agreements, identify and eliminate the causes of process defects and develop mutually beneficial relationships with peers and stakeholders. We see you as building an expertise in equity finance and derivative products, including upstream and downstream impacts on corporate action events and demonstrating innovative and creative problem solving techniques to not only overcome challenges but also to take advantage of opportunities as and when they arise. With extensive stakeholder interacting with Front Office, Middle Office, Settlements and Finance teams located in London, Seoul, Singapore, New York, Cape Town and Sydney offices, you will also work in conjunction with corporate actions peers in Sydney, London, Toronto and Cape Town and will need to display excellent communication and relationship building capabilities.
You will:

hold appropriate tertiary qualification in a finance-related discipline
demonstrate a stable and progressive work history from within a Corporate Actions, Front or Middle Office or Settlements environment
display a strong understanding of Asian equity corporate actions knowledge and processes
be highly motivated, a self-starter, with strong communication and excellent numerical skills
ideally have been exposed to and able to demonstrate an understanding of tax rules, although not essential
